BOTH QJMOTOR GRESINI RIDERS IN THE AMERICAS GP TOP5

Race – #AmericasGP An exciting race at Cota saw both standard bearers of Team Moto2 QJMOTOR GRESINI RACING who fought for the podium up to the last corner with Jeremy Alcoba fourth at the finish line – only 0.198secs shy of third place. The rider #52 started the race from tenth place on the grid and managed to put together a good comeback with the icing on the cake being the fastest lap of the encounter in 2’09.465secs as he narrowly missed on the American dream of a maiden Moto2 podium.

From the front row of the grid, instead, Filip Salač finished a hard fought race in fifth position. The rider #12 now sits fourth in the championship standings, with a 28-point gap from the lead.

4th – JEREMY ALCOBA #52 (9th in the standings with 19 points)

“An incredible weekend! I was very strong and I felt great with the bike. I lacked a little confidence, maybe passing Canet I could have caught up with the riders in front, but I preferred to stay behind him, who was fast. I’m sorry I didn’t get on the podium, we’ll try again in Jerez!”

5th – FILIP SALAČ #12 (4th in the standings with 33 points)

“It was a good race, but I had nose-bleeding already since I was on the grid. I had to go back to the garage before jumping on the bike once again and start the race: the beginning was challenging and I ended up losing a few places. I battled up to the end for fifth place and also dealt with the arm bumb in the final stages of the race. I’m still happy with this fifth place, we take home some important points for the championship. I’m also happy for Jeremy and for the whole team, we all did a great job this weekend. Let’s continue this way!”
