MOTOGP IN BRNO AFTER THE SUMMER BREAK

The return from the summer break has MotoGP riders and teams busy with a thrilling double race. In fact, the GP of the Czech Republic will be followed up straight away with the Austrian round on the Red Bull Ring. In between, an important day of tests will be held on the Monday after Brno, especially in view of the 2020 season, where Aprilia will be on the track with a lot of upgrades.

Aleix Espargaró will arrive in Brno fresh from his thirtieth birthday and fully recovered from the knee injury that conditioned his last few races. On the Sachsenring, the Spanish rider demonstrated good performance and he is keen to confirm this feeling in the second half of the season.

Andrea Iannone took on the first nine races of the season as a sort of apprenticeship astride the new-to-him RS-GP. There has been progress and the Italian rider has set the top 10 as his goal for the remainder of the season.

Both had the opportunity to take to the track together with Aprilia fans during two stages of the Racers Days, an occasion to greet fans of the Italian brand and keep trained on the RSV4 RF superbike.

ALEIX ESPARGARO’

“Brno is a very demanding circuit, especially in terms of engine performance. It will not be a simple weekend, but we will do our best to tackle it at 110% of our potential. I want to take on the second part of the season with the positive feeling we had on the Sachsenring.”

ANDREA IANNONE

“My goal for the second part of the season is clear. I want to improve and battle consistently in the top 10. We’ll see what our chances are on an interesting track like Brno.”
