LE MANS ONCE AGAIN AN UNKIND TRACK TO JORGE NAVARRO

Jorge Navarro leaves France empty-handed after a very complicated weekend at the Le Mans Circuit. For the second year in a row, the Spanish rider of Team Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 had an early finish to what was an already partly-compromised race following a tough qualifying session.

A crash at turn eight only few laps into the Moto2 encounter has put an end to the race performance of Navarro, who was fighting for a top-15 finish. A total of four crashes in three days of action have left an indelible mark on Jorge’s performance, but will also serve as motivation to bounce back at Mugello in less than two weeks.

DNF JORGE NAVARRO #9

“There’s really not much to say: this weekend we were unable to right the wrongs after FP1. It’s a shame because I was feeling good today, but something didn’t go right. We need to improve and try to not lose focus, as we knew it wasn’t a track that suited my style. After the Aragon test and the good base found in Jerez, we were aiming at something definitely better.”
