LOPEZ ENDS LE MANS FRIDAY IN THE TOP 5. GARCIA ALSO THROUGH TO Q2
ALONSO LOPEZ #21
“We can be happy with this first day here in Le Mans: we worked really well and found some adjustments that allowed us to take a step forward, especially with the race in mind. Tomorrow we’ll use FP2 to complete a fairly long run to really understand where we stand in terms of pace.”
SERGIO GARCIA #3
“A positive Friday: I immediately felt good on the bike, especially during the first outing in Practice. Then, in the second run, we tried a change that I didn’t like too much, but it helped us understand which direction to take for the race. I wasn’t able to improve my lap time, but we’re directly through to Q2, and that’s important: we worked well and the feeling ahead of tomorrow is positive. Tomorrow morning we’ll keep working on race setup before focusing on qualifying with a TOP 10 target.”
