LOPEZ FOURTEENTH IN JAPANESE QUALIFYING
ALONSO LOPEZ #21
“To be honest, I wasn’t expecting such a difficult qualifying session. This morning, the feeling wasn’t bad and I thought I could be competitive. Now we have to do everything we can to solve the problems, both with my riding and with some adjustments to the bike, so that we can make a strong comeback tomorrow and bring home a good result.”
SERGIO GARCIA #3
“A positive day: I worked a lot on my own to improve my riding and lines, and it paid off. The result isn’t what we were hoping for, but we did a good job and we’re confident it will pay off tomorrow in the race. Now we can take another small step forward for tomorrow, but I’m happy: a good comeback awaits us.”
