Lowes Focused On Race Pace As Moto2 Testing Continues At Jerez

Official Moto2 testing continued today at Jerez, where the Team Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 is in action with the Kalex machine ridden by Sam Lowes. In the second of the three days of testing planned on the Andalusian track, the 25-year-old British rider worked mainly on race pace, using the hardest tyre available for many laps. The feedback has been extremely positive, with Lowes who was able to keep a good pace, being fast also in the final laps of his long runs. The combined standings of the day see Lowes seventh fastest with a lap time of 1’42”547.

SAM LOWES (7th – 1’42”547)
“It’s been another really good day, during which we tested many things. I worked a lot on the hard tyre for the race: using only one tyre for my long runs, after 25/26 laps I’m still fast and this is undoubtedly positive. We’re working through everything with good results and we have still a couple of different rear shocks from Ohlins to test tomorrow. One more day to go, than finally we will move to Qatar, I’m really happy!”.
