MARQUEZ INTO Q2, UPHILL START FOR FERMIN

ALEX MARQUEZ #73
“This morning we struggled a bit, mainly because of the lack of grip. Things didn’t change too much in the afternoon, but not every circuit is like Jerez. In the end we managed to save it with a good lap and secured a spot in Q2. That said, there’s still a lot to work on — we need to find a bit more rear grip, and I believe even a small improvement could make a big difference.”

“Regarding the crash, I have to admit that if my leg had been at 100%, I would have tried to save it… I preferred to avoid taking risks and creating more problems for myself. It wasn’t an entirely negative day; we lost some feeling after the crash, but that’s no excuse for today’s result. Things went well this morning, but in the afternoon the bike changed completely and we struggled. We’ll have to work hard to be ready for tomorrow.”
