MOTOE: STARTING FROM LE MANS
It’s time to start for the MotoE World Championship too: the first round will be held in France, at Le Mans. Same format as last year, with a double race, and therefore double points, on Saturday; qualifying will be on Friday.
Expectations for this weekend are high for the team FELO GRESINI MotoE, with Matteo Ferrari who closed the pre-season tests in Barcelona as leader of the combined and as the winner of the race simulation. A solid start, which bodes well for this 2025.
On the other side of the box, his teammate Alessio Finello: for him, 2025 wants to be the year of the turning point, he wants to concretize the work of all these seasons together, where he has grown step by step, and to collect solid results.
The two FELO GRESINI MotoE riders will get back on track on Thursday, where three test sessions will allow them to try out the final details, before officially opening the 2025 season with the first free practice session on Friday, at 08:30 (LOCAL TIME).
MATTEO FERRARI #11
“I am very happy to finally start the season: the tests went very well, I have a great feeling both with the team and with the bike. On Thursday we will try a few more things, and it will be very important also as a counter-test to understand if everything we have tried is in the right direction. We are very confident, we have made a good plan. We still need to experiment in wet conditions, which could happen in Le Mans: having done the 24h of Le Mans helped me, both in reviewing the track, and for the conditions, it was a good training in view of the first race. We are on a beautiful circuit, a track that I have always liked, and we arrive with a very good spirit. We’ll continue to work as we have always done, with our feet on the ground, concentrated, and we’ll think race after race. We are ready to start!”
ALESSIO FINELLO #72
“Finally, we start! It’s been a really long winter, with two last tough months, between the injury, the recovery and the tests. At Le Mans I want some confirmation: the tests didn’t fully reflect what we can do. Now I’m fine, I’ve fully recovered from the injury and I can’t wait to get back on track, ride, and get the confirmation I need and want. With the team, we will try to analyze everything we can, to improve in every aspect: I’m sure it will be a great season. I can’t wait to see my team, I’ve missed all of them: let’s start!”
