NAVARRO LOOKS FORWARD TO SEASON DEBUT

Jorge Navarro and Team Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 are preparing for the opening Grand Prix of the which takes place this weekend at Losail. With the pre-season done and dusted with good feelings, it is now the time to take to the track and try all the good things that were tested throughout the off-season – in order to aim at competitive results from the start.

It will not be the “usual” Grand Prix for the Moto2 class at Losail, as free practice sessions will be performed during the day with the race almost at sunset time, but nevertheless Jorge Navarro is keen on leaving a difficult end to 2017 – both on physical and results sides – behind.

The opening free practice session for the middleweight class of MotoGP will take place from 13:45 local time (GMT +3), while the race will get underway at 17:20 on Sunday.

JORGE NAVARRO #9

“We haven’t raced since November so we’re all eager to get back on track. The pre-season has been a positive one: we never looked for strong lap-times, but instead we worked step by step to improve our package – myself included. The last test left me with good feelings, as we tried new settings which I found very comfortable to ride with. I’m sure we can do good things if we start with a more determined approach. It will be a tough race with practice sessions during the day and the race almost at sunset: it will definitely be different compared to previous years, but the will do well is there and so is the will to get things started.”
