NAVARRO BIDS FAREWELL ON HOME TRACK

It is goodbye time for Jorge Navarro and Team Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 as they will take to the track together for the last time this weekend at Valencia. The goal will be to finish on a high note what has been a difficult season – with the last three fly-away races that were even tougher as the Spaniard was able to make it to the chequered flag only at Sepang.

Navarro’s home track might be the right fit for his goal. Last year, the 22-year-old Valencian rider was only 23rdat the finish line, but that was his first race after his return from injury. Three years ago, he stepped on the Moto3 podium at the tight and twisty Spanish track.

The first Moto2 free practice session for the #ValenciaGP will get underway this Friday at 10:55 local time (GMT+1).

JORGE NAVARRO #9

“The final race of the year is here and I look forward to riding on my track. After what has been a surely not-excellent flyaway trip I’m eager to do well in order to finish my journey with Team Gresini on a high note. I’m counting down the days: the goal will be to have fun again on the bike as I’ve been missing that feeling for a while now. We need to work well from the start and keep our head down.”
