NO WAY THROUGH AT BALATON, FERMIN FINISHES IN THE TOP 5

FERMIN ALDEGUER #54
“We lost the podium position at the first corner. There are still plenty of positives to take away: a great pace, an important save from what could have been a crash, and a lot of good feelings heading into tomorrow’s race. We knew this would be a difficult track for overtaking, one where you really have to make moves happen. I tried, but especially against Bezzecchi, I struggled to stay in the slipstream on corner exits.”

IKER LECUONA #27
“Overall, it was still a positive day. We had some good sessions this morning and a decent qualifying. We had a lot of speed today and I enjoyed myself, but unfortunately this track is really difficult for overtaking. I have to admit I took the start calmly and didn’t want to overdo it. I found myself almost at the back, but I was able to make several passes on a circuit where overtaking is very challenging. We definitely had the pace to finish inside the top 12, but today it just wasn’t possible.”
