POSITIVE START FOR NAVARRO AT BURIRAM

Jorge Navarro’s hopes heading to Thailand were confirmed: the Buriram International Circuit does suit his style and Federal Oil Gresini Moto2’s Kalex machine #9. The 22-year-old Valencian rider completed 30 laps and logged a 1’37.685 lap-time to finish thirteenth on day one.

There is still a lot of work to do, however, but Navarro and the team have a clear idea of what to do to improve settings the pace ahead of qualifying and race.

Moto2 will return to the track at 10:55 local time (GMT+7) for the final free practice session of the #ThaiGP, which will be followed at 15:05 by qualifying. Tomorrow afternoon, Navarro will aim at a repeat performance of Aragon.

13th– JORGE NAVARRO #9

“This is a track that suits my riding style. Today we worked on the race set-up and things went very well. We gathered a lot of data and highlighted the areas where we need to improve – and the good thing is hat we know how to do that. Tomorrow we will work also on the single-lap performance so that we can get a grid position that is in line with our potential.”
