“First day with this new format, which decides who gets the direct seed to Q2 already on Friday. We hit our target as we made it already into Q2. We’ll focus on our race set-up tomorrow morning: the feeling is still not perfect, but we know we have to work on the bike behavior under braking; here, with this heat, it is important to manage the corner exit well”.

“Day1 in Buriram done and dusted! I’ve started pretty strong this morning, with a good feeling, I’m pretty happy with how things went in the Free Practice 1. Coming to this afternoon, the conditions where quite a bit hotter, I seem to be struggling a bit more with the front feeling and I’m a little disappointed to just miss out on the direct Q2. Anyway, I’m pretty positive that if we can improve the front feeling for tomorrow, then I can pass through Q1 and then still do a good qualifying. Overall, I’m pretty confident for tomorrow, let’s see what we can do!”
