Productive one-day test at Jerez for Jorge Navarro
Jorge Navarro and the Team Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 wrapped up with positive results a private testing session held in Jerez de la Frontera, despite the bad weather: forced in the pits today because of a very dirty track after overnight rain, the Spaniard still could take full advantage of the first day of testing, yesterday, continuing his apprenticeship successfully aboard the Team Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 Kalex machine.
Navarro put in a total of 84 laps, clocking a good 1’43”499 working on his Kalex set-up looking to adapt the bike to his riding style, with good results. A job that will continue in the official IRTA scheduled always at the Jerez circuit from 8th to 10th of March.
JORGE NAVARRO
“Yesterday was a very productive testing day for us: I could continue my apprenticeship and my feelings improved constantly. We made several set-up changes throughout the day and I think we are on the right path to adapt the bike to my riding style. Obviously there is room for improvement, both in terms of the level of my riding, both in terms of work to do to further adapt the bike to my style, but as said the direction is the right one. I can’t wait to get back on track here in Jerez for the IRTA tests, because today was not possible to test: the track was very dirty, then the rain was not enough to take advantage of full wet conditions, so we preferred not to use the second day of test in order to take advantage of it later in the season. Now I have almost two weeks to continue to prepare physically, in order to face the upcoming official test in the best conditions!”.
