BACK TO MISANO, WITH RODRIGO STILL UNFIT

The return to home turf will not be ask expected, as for the second GP at Misano Adriatrico the Indonesian Gresini Moto3 Team will have to rely solely on Jeremy Alcoba. Gabriel Rodrigo will in fact be on precautionary rest as the fracture to the head of the humerus has still not fully healed.

For the Argentine rider, the absence at Austin and being out of action for more than a month was not enough, but the idea is that he will be able to jump back aboard his Honda machine #2 for the final two races at Portimão and Valencia.

Jeremy Alcoba will be there though, despite still not being 100%: the youngster from Spain hurt one finger in the Austin crash and still need some time to recover fully.

JEREMY ALCOBA #52

“I’m really looking forward to returning to Misano, a circuit I like a lot and one where I couldn’t perform at my best last month due to the injured hand. Unfortunately we are going to Italy with another small physical issue with the finger I’m using to pull the brake lever, so we’ll see what we can do: looks like I’ll have to change my braking technique. We are looking forward to making amends for the Austin race and we will also have a surprise for the fans of the team on Sunday.”

GABRI RODRIGO #2

“I’m quite disappointed: I was sure to be able to return to the track in Italy, but unfortunately the fracture got worse during these weeks. I can’t lift my arm more than 90 degrees and this would make it impossible for me to get on track, also as this fracture is also affecting the supraspinatus. We will rest ahead of the final two back-to-back races of the season, as I really want to be ready for Portimão.”
