DISAPPOINTING SILVERSTONE SUNDAY FOR TEAM INDONESIAN RACING GRESINI MOTO3

Silverstone, race. It was another challenging Sunday for Team Indonesian Racing Gresini Moto3 who leaves Silverstone with very little reward despite the high expectations following Rodrigo and Alcoba’s performances in yesterday’s qualifying.

The go-to choice of the hard tyre option for both riders did not pay off in the second half of the race, with Gabriel Rodrigo able to score just a single point at the finish line – he was 15th – while Jeremy Alcoba was all the down in 21st place. The two standard bearers of Gresini Racing in Moto3 are now tied in 10th place in the standings with 60 points each.

15th – GABRIEL RODRIGO #2

“Honestly speaking we had a completely different race in mind, but nothing went according to plans… We experienced some chattering issues, and it was hard to battle for the top 15. We are leaving here with only one point, which is very little considering the front-row start. We will try to make amends already at Aragon.”

21st – JEREMY ALCOBA #52

“We struggled from the start of the race, with a tyre that was probably not perfect. We never managed to get up to speed throughout the encounter and this is very frustrating after a positive weekend where we kept improving in each session. Not much more to say: we need to leave this weekend behind and start thinking about Aragon and Misano.”
