SIXTH PLACE FOR LOPEZ IN ITALIAN QUALIFYING
ALONSO LOPEZ #21
“Overall, I’m happy with today. The reality is that I wasn’t able to fully exploit the potential of the new tyre, and in the second run a slipstream might have helped me gain a few tenths. However, I’m pleased with the result. It was crucial for us to secure a spot on the first two rows in today’s qualifying session, and we achieved that. Tomorrow I’d like to fight for the podium, and I think we’ll be in the mix. We can do it!”
SERGIO GARCIA #3
“Today I felt good and was confident we would have a strong qualifying session. I was sure I could be close to the top ten. Unfortunately, I crashed on my first flying lap and wasn’t able to set a time. As a result, I’ll start tomorrow’s race from 18th position, which is a bit further back than we’d hoped. However, the feeling is positive and I’m comfortable on the bike. We’ll fine-tune a few more details and tomorrow we’ll fight to make up positions and achieve a strong comeback.”
