SEASON OVER PREMATURELY FOR GABRI RODRIGO

Gabriel Rodrigo will not be on track at Valencia, the venue hosting the final event of the season – one that has been heavily affected by crashes and injury for him. The last one came at Sepang, when at the exit of turn four the Argentina was thrown off by his Honda #19. The crash early on seemed to be without consequences, but the coming together with Suzuki resulted in a right-collarbone fracture – which at the moment does not appear to require surgery.

Stepping in for the Argentine will be Jeremy Alcoba, who gets another chance to get ready for his 2020 season with Team Kömmerling Gresini Moto3 – and will be the only rider for the team on track for the following week’s official test.

Riccardo Rossi will be contesting his last race with the Gresini Racing outfit, and the goal for him will be to confirm the improvements made in the last outings, in which he did not disappoint at all. A positive qualifying result could open the door for a possible top-ten finish – on an track that is not new to him.

JEREMY ALCOBA #52

“Honestly I can’t wait. I’m really looking forward to trying myself out at Valencia. Obviously I’m sorry for Gabri, who deserved to race, but I’ll try to replace him as best as I can and start working on the upcoming season. I will also be testing afterwards, so I’m fully focused to start this new journey on a high note.”

RICCARDO ROSSI #54

“I’m very positive for Valencia, because I managed to be competitive on tracks I didn’t know before – at least in the race – and in Valencia I have all the knowledge I need as I tested here before during the winter. We’re charged up and keen on finishing this year well.”
