TO LE MANS FOR THE SIXTH ROUND OF THE SEASON

After a week off, the two ITALJET GRESINI Moto2 riders are ready to pack again for the next round, which will be in France, at the Le Mans circuit. We find Albert Arenas full of energy after the solid weekend in Jerez, where he conquered the front row in qualifying, and then demonstrated a fast and consistent pace also in the race. Here in Le Mans he wants to take the decisive step and aim even higher.

On the other side of the box, his teammate Darryn Binder, ready to redeem himself after a difficult weekend in Spain. On the French circuit he wants to find the ideal feeling to get back to fight for the positions that saw him as protagonist in the first races of the season, before the injury in Texas.

The two ITALJET GRESINI Moto2 standard-bearers will start the engines for the first free practice session on Friday, at 07:50 (UTC TIME).

ALBERT ARENAS #75

“We arrive from two solid rounds, where we confirmed our speed, achieved fast laps and improved our race pace: I’m really looking forward to race in Le Mans, a track that I’ve always liked, where I’ve always been quite fast and I’ve collected good memories, like my first ever victory in the world championship. I’m looking forward to keep working in in the same way: we’re really close to reach our goals, it is so clear the speed is there, we just need a last step in the bike’s setting that will allow me to perform at my best in the race. In Jerez we got very close to our target and I think that in Le Mans we can make another step forward. It will be essential to focus from the first session, and try new solutions for the last step: I’m really motivated and I can’t wait to be again with my team and keep this momentum going, trying to make it even better”.

DARRYN BINDER #15

“After a difficult weekend in Jerez, I’m really eager to get to Le Mans to keep working and try to find our way again. We know we have the speed, now we just need to figure some small things out, and hopefully we will be back fighting in the front again. I’m really looking forward to Le Mans, a pretty cool track, where there is a crazy atmosphere, with so many spectators. I trained a lot this week and I’m looking forward to it!”
