TOP TEN FOR BULEGA IN CHESTE QUALIFYING

For the fourth time this year, Nicolò Bulega gets in the top ten in qualifying and tomorrow he will head the fourth row of the grid for the #EuropeanGP. The #11 rider of Team Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 does not take too many risks in the morning given he had already sealed the Q2 direct seed yesterday, while in the afternoon he managed to log a 1’41.481secs lap-time.

Edgar Pons was not lucky, on the other hand. The Spaniard narrowly missed on Q2 yesterday, while today he experienced a lack of feeling with the mostly wet track aboard his Kalex machine #57. He will line up tomorrow on the eighth row of the grid for a GP that will not be easy on paper for him (the start will be at 12:20).

10th – NICOLÒ BULEGA #11 (1’41.481)

“Things went quite well. We got the strategy a bit wrong: we went in with the slick immediately and we came back in when, instead, we should have stayed out on track as the others, who made our same choice, had a bit more feeling in the final laps. The top ten isn’t too bad and with a good start we can have a good race.”

23rd – EDGAR PONS #57 (1’47.984)

“A difficult session… We expected the track to be dry in this session, but in Q1 there was too many wet spots. The bike moved a lot with wet tyres on the dry patches and it was impossible to battle for the Q2. Too bad, because Q2 then took place in dry conditions. We’ll need to put together a comeback and make a lot of passes tomorrow, but we’ll try to have some fun.”
