A SPANISH ARMADA ALSO IN MOTO2: 2026 WITH LOPEZ AND GARCIA
ITALJET CONFIRMS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP COMMITMENT WITH GRESINI RACING
2026 is around the corner and Team Gresini Moto2 is ready for a new sporting journey with two relatively fresh faces in the garage. Two Spanish talents who, for the first time, will join Gresini Racing.
Alonso Lopez and Sergio Garcia will share the light-blue pit-box next season: the former has already scored 16 podium finishes and three wins in the middleweight class, and will test his skills with a Kalex machine for the first time; the latter, Moto3 runner-up in 2022, will return after almost a year’s absence and an injury, but with a tally of five Moto2 podiums, including two wins. Two thoroughbreds ready to return to greatness with Gresini.
But that is not all: the Italian touch comes from the title sponsor. ITALJET confirms its presence on the global motorsport scene alongside Gresini Racing. The Bologna-based, iconic motorcycle brand led by Massimo Tartarini will feature on the fairings of the Kalex machines #21 and #3, with the goal of becoming a reference point in the Moto2 class once again.
