GARCIA AND PAWELEC READY FOR THE SACHSENRING CHALLENGE
The final round before the summer break takes the team to the Sachsenring, the shortest circuit on the calendar. Run in an anti-clockwise direction, it features ten left-hand corners, a fast layout and the famous uphill straight. Following a week off, Sergio Garcia arrives well prepared after intense training and is looking forward to build a solid base throughout the weekend.
Alonso Lopez is still recovering, meaning Polish rider #40 Milan Pawelec will once again step in. It will be his first time racing at the Sachsenring, making it essential for him to complete as many laps as possible to quickly get to grips with the unique characteristics of the track.
SERGIO GARCIA #3
“I’m heading to the Sachsenring feeling motivated. The week at home was really important, as it allowed me to train properly and spend some time with my family. I like this circuit a lot—it’s very unique, with plenty of left-hand corners. My goal is to put together a strong weekend and, above all, deliver a solid race so we can head into the summer break on a positive note, with a clear direction and a strong foundation for the upcoming rounds.”
MILAN PAWELEC #40
“It’s a great opportunity for me to be called up once again to race with the ITALJET GRESINI Moto2 team. We’ll make the most of the experience and the data gathered over the previous two rounds to take another step forward. It definitely won’t be easy—this will be my first time at this circuit, which is fast, demanding and with many left-hand corners. At the same time, I’m really excited and can’t wait to get out on track for my first laps. I’m feeling more and more comfortable with the team and understanding the bike better every time. On top of that, this race is close to home, so there will be plenty of Polish fans trackside, and I can’t wait to race for them.”
