“It’s certainly not the position we want to be in, but we learned a lot from this race. If we had made a few changes earlier and had got used to riding this bike sooner, we definitely could have improved significantly. However, I’m taking away the positive feelings from today, and we know we can be fast and competitive in Portimao and Valencia. Our one-lap pace certainly made the weekend more difficult, but we were also missing something in terms of outright speed. Otherwise, we would have been fighting with Ivan (Ortola) for the top positions.”
MATTEO FERRARI – 23rd
“The goal was to close the gap to the frontrunners even further, and we managed to do that. I learned a lot from these 18 laps. It’s a shame about a few mistakes, especially on the second lap, which caused me to lose touch with the group ahead. Honestly, I improved lap after lap, and we’ve made a significant step forward since Malaysia. Thanks to the team for this great experience.”
