ALONSO’S COMEBACK DELIVERS A FRONT-ROW START
ALONSO LOPEZ #21
“To come back after the injury and secure a front-row start like this is certainly a surprise; we didn’t expect to be this competitive. Q2 was extremely difficult today, with so many very fast riders. We gave it our best shot, and my hand didn’t bother me at all, which is perhaps the best news of all. Tomorrow will depend a lot on the pace we can produce in the race. There are at least a couple of riders who have a better pace than us, but we’ll give it a go.”

“It wasn’t the Saturday we expected after comfortably making it through to Q2 yesterday. The feeling wasn’t the best, and I wasn’t able to perform as I would have liked in a session that was already difficult in itself, such as Q2. We need to work on things. 16th on the grid isn’t ideal, but it’s not that bad either. We can and must make up ground in tomorrow’s race.”
