A CHALLENGING FRIDAY IN INDONESIA

The standard bearers of team QJMOTOR GRESINI Moto2 had a challenging start to the Indonesian Grand Prix as they are currently outside the list of those who will be seeded directly to Q2. Jeremy Alcoba sits in twentieth position (combined times) after logging a personal best lap-time of 1’35.728secs, which was recorded at the end of the second session.

It was an unlucky day for Filip Salač, who could not be competitive in the morning due to some mistakes, while it was forced back at the pits due to an issue after only 11 laps during FP2. He is therefore 22nd, with a time of 1’35.911, and looking forward to making up for the time lost tomorrow morning in FP3 as he will aim for a direct seed to Q2 along with his teammate.

20th – JEREMY ALCOBA #52 (1’35.728)

“We had a very good start this morning, the feeling was good and we managed to complete a long run with the hard tyre and a good pace. Then in the afternoon we made a few changes but with the higher temperatures we couldn’t improve as much as we’d hoped. I was expecting a bigger step forward with the soft tyre but we could only improve by a few tenths. We will try again tomorrow, after a few more adjustments.”

22nd – FILIP SALAČ #12 (1’35.911)

“It was a very unlucky day for us. We chose the wrong strategy in the first session and couldn’t be as fast as I’d liked. Then in the second session I had to get back to the pits due to an issue. We were unlucky and we’ll be on the back foot a little bit tomorrow, but we’ll try again with the goal to be in Q2.”
