MONTMELÓ A BIG OPPORTUNITY FOR LOWES
Team Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 is looking for confirmations and especially for a strong result in what is the seventh round of the MotoGP World Championship. The venue hosting this crucial event is the historical track of Montmeló in Catalunya, where Sam Lowes has already completed a significant number of laps during the two-day test that took place a few weeks ago.
Almost 200 laps helped Lowes and his crew find a good set-up for their Triumph-powered Kalex machine, with the data gathered to be extremely useful to better prepare for this Sunday’s race. Despite getting back in the points, the #ItalianGP did not witness Lowes among the protagonists of the Mugello encounter, so this new round represents a fresh opportunity to shine.
Lowes missed out on a podium finish in 2015 – he was fourth – while in Federal Oil’s colours he was sixth the following year. Moto2 proceedings will begin at 10:55 local time (GMT+2).
