AUSTRIAN GP: IT’S TIME TO MAKE THE DIFFERENCE

The Team MotoE FELO Gresini Racing is leaving for Austria, with the Italian riders full of expectations and a great desire to redeem themselves, after an English weekend that has been difficult for both.

The Silverstone round, ruined by a crash and two penalties, gave Matteo Ferrari that extra boost to play it all in Spielberg to try to take the lead in the championship: the rider #11 at the moment finds himself second in the general standings, but there are just few points that separate him from the top and here, in the Austrian circuit, he wants to win and has all the credentials to do so.

“Redemption” will instead be the key word of this weekend for Alessio Finello who last year did just few laps in this circuit due to a crash that forced him to surgery on his left foot. On this track, which took so much from him, the Turin rider wants to make the difference: to collect all the work done in the first part of the season and bring home a good result.

MATTEO FERRARI #11 (2nd in the standings with 153 points)

“I’m super excited: these days off-track never seemed to pass after the BritishGP, which left us with a bitter taste. However I’m positive, we lost only seven points. The goal this weekend is to win, I’ll do my best to try to take the lead in the championship: it’s the crucial moment and we can do it here. It’s a track that I like, where I’ve been a little unlucky in the past, but still fast. This year we managed to be competitive on all circuits and I’m sure we will be able to continue on this path. I will try to improve in certain situations, given the experience at Silverstone and let’s try to bring home the best result. The team is working hard, we are motivated and ready to fight!”

ALESSIO FINELLO #72 (16th in the standings with 26 points)

“One word: REDEMPTION. I can’t wait to get back on track in Austria, a circuit that took so much away from me last year, forcing me to spend more time at the hospital than on track after just six laps. This year I want to take back everything it took from me, possibly with interest. There are three rounds left until the end of the championship and I want to prove my worth and to collect all the improvements we have made during the year. The team is doing an amazing job, we work in perfect synergy together: I still have to improve, especially mentally, but I’m sure this race will be a new start for me. I’m training a lot and this weekend I’ll give everything to bring home a good result”.
