BARCELONA AND THEN STRAIGHT TO MISANO FOR THE HOME RACE OF THE QJMOTOR GRESINI MOTO2
It’s time for a for a double round, Barcelona followed immediately after by Misano, the home race for the Team Moto2 QJMOTOR Gresini Racing. Last GP, in Austria, Filip Salač found again the feeling with his bike with high temperatures and this bodes well in view of the next race which will be on the Catalan circuit, where the hot weather will be protagonist. Then there will be Misano, where it will be essential for the Czech rider to regain confidence after last year’s huge crash. Sixth in the general standings, he is ready to play all out in these two rounds to get back into the TOP5 before leaving for the overseas.
These two races will be very important for Jeremy Alcoba: the first one on his home circuit, where he will fight from the very first session to stay in the top positions surrounded by the affection of his fans and his family. Then there will be Misano, where the #52 rider wants to honor the memory of Fausto Gresini with a good result in the home GP of his team.
FILIP SALAČ #12 (6th in the standings with 84 points)
“I expect a complicated weekend in Barcelona because it will be very hot, but in Austria we worked precisely on this aspect, bringing home a good result and I expect to be able to do the same here too, where we did a good job last year but unfortunately I crashed. Misano will then be the team’s home race and I’ll try to give my best: it’s not an easy track for me, last year I had a huge crash but we’ll do everything possible to regain the confidence and bring home a good result”.
JEREMY ALCOBA #52 (16th in the standings with 32 points)
“I was at home for a couple of days to do a reset from last weekend. Now we leave for Barcelona, my home GP: I’m even more motivated and I want to do a good job from the very first second on track in order to be on the grid in the front rows on Sunday and be able to fight for a good result. I’ve always been strong on this track with the Moto3, let’s see if we can start off on the right foot. Then there will be Misano, this time the team’s home race and I want to make a good weekend for the team and especially for Fausto”.
