BARCELONA AND THEN STRAIGHT TO MUGELLO

First double run of 2024: we start from Barcelona, home race for the rider number #75: Albert Arenas conquered the third step of the podium last year. This time he wants to raise the bar: he has already demonstrated he is fast in qualifying, now he must seek that speed in the race too. Last year, his teammate Manuel Gonzalez closed out the TOP5 and this weekend he can’t wait to make amends for his crash at Le Mans and get back on the podium.

Then straight off to Mugello for the home race of the Team QJMOTOR GRESINI Moto2: the desire to achieve a good result is huge and the magic feeling of racing at home will give the team that extra energy to make the difference on track with both riders.

MANUEL GONZALEZ #18

“We were unlucky at Le Mans, but we have recharged our batteries and we arrive in Barcelona fully recharged. I know that we have a lot of potential to improve our results and this is one of the tracks where I go fastest and where I have achieved my best results: I have always been strong and I will certainly be fast this weekend too. We will need to work in the practices with the tyres, as they will be the key point in this race. Expectations are also high for Mugello: I love this track and I have usually been competitive here too. It will be a very important weekend because then there will be a rather long break and I want to enjoy it: I will therefore push to my maximum to achieve a great result in my team’s home race.”

ALBERT ARENAS #75

“Two races in a row and a great desire to do them well: for me it’s a positive thing to have two races in a row, it allows me to give more continuity to the work and get into the rhythm. In Barcelona we will try to be even more competitive, especially in the race. We are doing a good job, but it’s not enough, we need to take a step and find more speed in the race. I’m super motivated for Barcelona, it is my home race and one of my favorite tracks since I was little: I will give my best. Then Mugello, a difficult but beautiful circuit: it will be essential to have a good race here too and stay focused!”
