A POSITIVE FRIDAY AT THE #BRITISHGP FOR RODRIGO AND ALCOBA

Silverstone, free practice. The journey of Team Indonesian Racing Gresini Moto3 begins on a very different note at Silverstone with speed and a big margin to improve.

After being absolute protagonists in the morning session with a second and third place, Jeremy Alcoba and Gabriel Rodrigo turned their attention in the afternoon on the longer run and harder tyre option.

The Argentine rider was 10th overall at the end of the day and is technically already in the lot of the riders directly to be seeded to Q2. His Spanish teammate still has to find some tenths of a second as the 14th place is around half a second away.

The decisive FP3 session will get underway at 9am local time (GMT +1), with Q2 scheduled at 13:00.

 10th – GABRIEL RODRIGO #2 (2’12.164)

“We’re happy. It’s been a positive day: we only used one soft tyre and with that we were second quickest. Then everyone else kept using it, while we chose to keep working on our race pace with the harder tyre and keep more options for tomorrow. We still need to make a small step in FP3, but we’re confident ahead of the next two days.”

22nd – JEREMY ALCOBA #52 (2’12.856)

“I’m happy. I basically set the same lap-time in both sessions, with the difference that in FP1 I was in the slipstream, while in the afternoon I lapped on my own. We tried both harder and softer options and I must say that it’s clear the first one is the right one for the race.”
