  BULEGA TO HEAD THIRD ROW IN PORTUGAL  

A final part of the season in crescendo for Nicolò Bulega who was able also today to show he can be among the quickest of the category. The Italian rider of team Federal Oil Gresini Moto2, despite having to make his aay through Q1, was among the protagonists of the final qualifying session and was at times within the top three.

His 1’42.845secs lap-time gave him the seventh place of the grid of the #PortugueseGP, which leaves him slightly more than two tenths away from pole. Edgar Pons did not shine and will have to chase the leading pack from 23rd position on the grid.

The Portuguese Grand Prix will get underway at 12:20 local time (GMT +0) for the Moto2 class.

“I’m very happy with this qualifying. The strategy was good, we found a good slipstream and we did well in believing in ourselves. It wasn’t easy as we had to go through Q1 to claim seventh. This morning I struggled but then found back the right feeling.”

23rd – EDGAR PONS #57 (1’44.040)

“We didn’t manage to find the right setting to be protagonists ans it’s a shame because tomorrow will be mu last race. I want to finish this stage of my life the best way and we will try to have fun and give the team a good result.”
