BULEGA SHINES IN WET CONDITONS AT MISANO, DIGGIA IN Q2

#SanMarinoGP Free Practice. The air – and rain – of home have been a positive influence for team Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 and especially for Nicolò Bulega, who has been among the protagonists in the first two free practice session at the Misano World Circuit. Despite running off track twice, the rider #11 did an excellent job in finding pace and great feeling on the opening day, and tomorrow will try to do the same even with dry conditions.

It was a bit more of a difficult day for Fabio Di Giannantonio, especially in the morning session – he was 28th – but he managed to bounce back to fourteenth place – and technically within the group of riders to be seeded to Q2 directly, albeit just for a few milliseconds.

The weather could change things quite dramatically, as a dry FP3 would basically make today’s session unimportant for the combined times. Proceedings will resume at 10:55 local time (GMT +2).

5th – NICOLÒ BULEGA #11 (1’50.578)

“We started well in the wet and placed ourselves among the leaders. This morning I was even third, then fifth at the end of today. We have a great feeling with the bike: we made very little adjustments, but always in the right direction. Shame that we couldn’t ride in the dry, as it will be important to be as quick should conditions change.”

14th – FABIO DI GIANNANTONIO #21 (1’51.332)

“We got quite a negative start this morning: I couldn’t feel the bike and we were very slow. We worked well and, in the afternoon, especially in the last outing, we recovered the lost feeling and speed in the wet. We narrowed the gap down to the leaders and in some way I would like the weekend to be rainy in order to continue on today’s work.”
