A COMPETITIVE BULEGA IN WET LE MANS QUALIFYING

#FrenchGP qualifiche. The only thing that stopped Nicolò Bulega from a great qualifying result today was a crash during the second and final session at Le Mans. The rider of Team Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 lost control of his Kalex machine after only two laps at turn three, quick cost him a great deal of time. He nevertheless showed his speed in the wet and finished 11th, which equals the result scored in the Qatar Grand Prix.

Fabio Di Giannantonio, on the other hand, did not shine today in the mixed conditions encountered at the Bugatti circuit. The winner of the race at Jerez could not find the right feeling and will have a lot of work to do in the warmup. With the race starting from 12:20, the number #21 will start from the last slot of the fifth row.

11th – NICOLÒ BULEGA #11 (1’52.223)

“A real pity for that mistake because we were really competitive in the wet and the 11th place shows it anyway – with only two laps completed. I could have done a lot better and we lost plenty of time. The weather will surely affect the race tomorrow, but we can do well; we want – and we must – capitalise.”

15th – FABIO DI GIANNANTONIO #21 (1’53.398)

“We struggled this morning because both dry and wet setups were never really great due to the track conditions. In qualifying, with half the track wet and the other half dry, I did not feel comfortable on the bike, especially in the wet part, and we were not quick. We really have to improve for tomorrow.”
