GOOD OPENING DAY AT HOME FOR TEAM TRENTINO GRESINI MOTOE

Misano could be the crucial track for the 2020 title dreams and Matteo Ferrari does not want to miss on the opportunity to score some important points already this weekend. Today’s second place for the reigning world cup champion is surely a good sign on the track that saw him stealing the show last year with a double win. The gap with today’s leader – Eric Granado – is only 0.032secs and the good feeling ahead of the Trentino Gresini MotoE-liveried Energica Ego Corsa machine is there. Tomorrow the local hero will try to be the quickest during the E-Pole, especially knowing he has a three-position penalty on the grid for Sunday’s race.

Alessandro Zaccone also did a good job as he was twelth at the end of today’s second FP session and 1.2 seconds away from his teammate. Given the very little amount of experience with this bike, it is surely a promising start for the #61 rider, who is finally back to full fitness.

2nd – MATTEO FERRARI #11

“A very positive day, even though this morning we had a transponder problem which cost me some time. We made a small adjustment this afternoon and the feeling got better. There is still to work on the braking but we’re quick, we’re at the front and I believe we can do well.”

12th – ALESSANDRO ZACCONE #61

“We need to get some confidence back with the bike and the Misano track. It’s been a while since I last rode here and surely the two back-to-back rounds will help. We weren’t so bad today, but it’s clear that we’re not where we’d like to be. We’re working hard to be closer to the front, especially know that I’m fully fit so I believe we will get better!”
