GOOD START FOR LOWES AT MISANO
It has been a learning day for Sam Lowes at Misano with the Briton trying to find the best set-up with his Kalex #22. The rider of team Federal Oil Gresini Moto2lapped consistently in today’s free practice as he made some changes to gearing and working especially with the hard tyre.
The extreme heat of the afternoon slowed down a bit the work done by the Tommaso Raponi-led team, with Lowes still able to finish ninth in the combined times and improving by seven tenths between sessions.
The goal tomorrow will be to put together the best set-up with the right tyre choice and try to attack the the #SanMarinoGP qualifying, taking place at 15:30 (Q2)

“honestly it has been a positive day. Misano has never been my favourite track but we were quick with the hard tyre and in the heat. We never had the best settings and the tyre at the same time, so tomorrow it’ll be about joining the dots. The direction to follow is clear, we still miss one of two tenths with the race pace, but we can surely do something positive tomorrow in qualifying while keep working for the race.”
