A GOOD TOP-TEN RESULT FOR RODRIGO AT ARAGON

Gabri Rodrigo has scored another encouraging result on the way to a full recovery by crossing the line in ninth place in today’s Aragon Grand Prix race. The Argentine rider of Team Kömmerling Gresini Moto3, who made his return recently after an important injury to his pelvis and a left-collarbone fracture, had a difficult time in the race just has he did one week ago in Misano.

This is an important top-ten result for the #19, who can now look ahead to the upcoming races with fresh confidence – the first of which will take place in Thailand in less than two weeks.

It was a race to forget for Riccardo Rossi, who after a good start he kept a front-runner pace before being taken out by Yurchenko on lap four – an incident that put an end to his race. The Italian tried to stay on track but could not do much from the penultimate position, also due to a “long lap penalty”.

9th– GABRI RODRIGO #19

“We went for the hard tyre with the goal to put together a comeback, but it wasn’t so easy as we were far back on the starting grid. We did it anyway, but towards the end of the race my fitness condition kind of affected my performance. I hoped I would have suffered less here, but it ended up being much like Misano. Anyway, we will make the most of these days to recharge the batteries and be ready for Thailand.”

27th– RICCARDO ROSSI #54

“We were unlucky. We had a good start and we were lapping in the high 1’59s, which was kind of the pace at the front. Then Yurchenko hit me on corner entry and I crashed. I don’t know how I managed to stay out of track, but the race was already over.”
