PRIVATE TESTING AT ARAGON DRAWS TO A CLOSE FOR NAVARRO

Jorge Navarro and the Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 team have concluded an important two-day private test at the MotorLand Aragón Circuit in Spain. Good weather conditions and high temperatures – especially on the opening day – have allowed the 21-year-old series rookie to complete a total of 165 laps and to continue the process of adaptation to the middleweight class of MotoGP and to his Kalex machine #9.

Navarro and his crew worked tirelessly on the bike set-up as they tried different geometry settings to improve the feeling of the rider with his Honda-powered motorcycle. On the first day of track activity, Jorge managed to set some interesting lap-times around the scenic 5.1 km Spanish circuit.

The team will now have some more days to prepare for the upcoming event on the Moto2 calendar, which takes place next weekend at Le Mans in France.

JORGE NAVARRO #9

“It’s been a positive test, especially on the first day when conditions were favourable. This morning the track was wet, while during the rest of the day the sun was shining intermittently and the wind was quite strong, so things were not as easy. We got some good data, though, so we will get to Le Mans with some more confidence: the feeling with the bike has improved, so I look forward to get back on track.”
