WEATHER THE PROTAGONIST AT LE MANS

A Friday far from positive for Team Federal Oil Gresini Moto2, due to the morning’s rain and the mixed conditions encountered in the afternoon. Both riders finished near the bottom of the timesheets with Bulega and Pons side by side in 25th and 26th.

Tomorrow, luckily, is a new day. Milder temperatures and sun are expected, with the Gresini riders who will have time to bounce back and battle for a direct seed in Q2. Moto2 proceedings will resume at 10:55 local time (GMT +2) for what will be a crucial FP3 session.

25th – NICOLÒ BULEGA

“A quite difficult day, with harsh track conditions and weather. We need to improve the feeling with the bike even though it’s obvious that today we didn’t take any risk and instead saved some energies and ideas for the rest of the weekend.”

26th – EDGAR PONS #57

“We expected a difficult day and the morning’s rain combined with the mixed condition of the afternoon session didn’t help. It’s true that things will change a lot with dry track, so we’re confident we can turn things around tomorrow, even tough we’re aware this isn’t going to be an easy weekend at this track.”
