DIGGIA FROM ROW FOUR AT SPIELBERG

The second day of action for the Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 Team brings some improvement in terms of positioning with Fabio Di Giannantonio moving up to 12th, while Nicolò Bulega is again 23rd at the end of qualifying. With both riders forced to take part in Q1, only Di Giannantonio was able to make it through, before claiming a fourth-row start for the Moto2 race of the #StyrianGP.

Both the #21 and #11 have improved their lap-times by four/five tenths of a second and tomorrow’s warm up will be the chance to make a further step, if the weather allows. Rain is expected, with the race set to get underway at 12:20 local time (GMT +2).

12th – FABIO DI GIANNANTONIO #21 (1’29.334)

“I’m happy. The fact that I was unable to make it into Q2 directly this morning gave me a bit more track-time: we worked well, we improved both pace and feeling compared to yesterday. We need a further small step in order to be near the front, but if the rain comes we’ll try to be ready for it.”

23rd – NICOLÒ BULEGA #11 (1’29.739)

“We tried some set-up changes that I didn’t like and we maybe ended up in the wrong direction. We will try something different during the warm up, but the rain may change everything: the grip decreases dramatically with wet conditions at this track, so tomorrow’s race may be a big question mark.”
