DIGGIA OUTSIDE TOP TEN IN ALGARVE

#AlgarveGP race. There was no icing on the cake this time. Sunday’s race performance by Fabio Di Giannantonio did not match the high expectations after yesterday’s brilliant qualifying.

The rider #21, maybe even due to a risky tyre choice, dropped down several positions in the early laps and was unable to re-enter the battle for the top five. He crossed the finish line in 11th place with more than a few regrets.

Nicolò Bulega’s race was even more challenges after a weekend in which he was unable to find the right competitiveness. His 22nd final position mirrors a weekend that needs to be forgot quickly.

11th FABIO DI GIANNANTONIO #21

“We probably made a mistake with the tyre choice. We went for the softer option as we thought it would have helped us be more competitive especially at the beginning, but their performance dropped down already after a few laps and it ended up being a very difficult race. Too bad, because with the harder one it would have been a different situation.”

22º – NICOLÒ BULEGA #11

“A weekend to forget. We were unable to solve the set-up issues and I never felt good aboard my Kalex machine. The race was extremely tough and we weren’t able to perform as we’d hoped.”
