DIGGIA BACK TO PODIUM WAYS IN TEXAS

#AmericasGP race. Who would have thought about such a result on Friday afternoon? Fabio Di Giannantonio and Team Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 have put together an incredible racing weekend which brings the Faenza-based team back to the podium after a drought that has lasted five months and one day: the last rostrum finish was the win in Jerez de la Frontera.

After an already excellent Friday, with a third place both in FP3 and qualifying, Diggia left it all out on track as he bounced back after an early mistake at turn 15 courtesy of a superb race pace.

He wrapped up the #AmericasGP in second place, 1.7secs away from the win, and today’s 20 points earned have narrowed the gap down to fourth place (Lowes) in the standings to 12 points.

2nd – FABIO DI GIANNANTONIO #21 (6th in the Championship Standings – 128 points)

“I had said everything yesterday already. We were sure to have recovered the feeling we lacked in the last races and today it was all about proving all of this on track. It has been a difficult season, but I always believed in myself and with the team, we managed to find an excellent set-up. I was feeling really good and the race was less demanding than I thought: this morning I woke up with a strong pain in my back and it was surely something to take into account, but things went extremely well. We are feeling good and with this base set-up we found I think we can be competitive also in the next races.”
