TOMORROW IS ANOTHER DAY

An almost one-hundred years old quote to quickly forget a challenging Friday for the Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 team: Fabio Di Giannantonio and Nicolò Bulega were forced to go through Q1 following a mixed-condition FP3 and were ultimately 20th and 29th after failing to make it to the final qualifying session.

It was a difficult afternoon for the #21 rider, who was unable to exploit the horsepower of the Triumph engine in the final moments of the session after being within the top four for the majority of it; a totally different story for Bulega, who crashed out at turn 16 on the opening lap after riding over the wet side of the track.

Things may turn around tomorrow with the arrival of the sun, and both riders will be looking for a comeback on Misano’s home turf.

20th – FABIO DI GIANNANTONIO #21 (1’38.122)

“It’s been a very negative day. This morning we found a good feeling with the bike, even though we did not manage to get seeded to Q2. In Q1, we missed something at the end. We need to do a complete reset now, because the track conditions will be completely opposite, and we’ll need a great comeback.”

29th – NICOLÒ BULEGA #11 (1’44.725)

“Unfortunately, I wasn’t even able to complete a lap. I put the bike maybe 2cm off the dry line and I lost the front-end without even realising. We would have loved to have a bit more track-time on the dry. Tomorrow’s warm up will be crucial.”
