THE ITALIAN-SPANISH BACK-TO-BACK TRIPS BEGINS FOR TEAM FEDERAL OIL GRESINI MOTO2
With six races left and 150 points still up for grabs, Team Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 has still plenty to achieve as it gets ready for two more back-to-back rounds in the season. Two races in seven days, first at Aragon and then at Misano.
The Spanish round already saw Fabio Di Giannantonio on the podium last year; the rider #21 will try his utmost in order to return to battling at the front of the field after the top five finish in Silverstone. Consistency in terms of results will be crucial for Nicolò Bulega so much as the confirmation of the good feeling he had in UK aboard his Kalex machine.
Misano will be the chance to race in front of the home crowd, and the whole team Gresini is preparing a special tribute to remember Fausto.
FABIO DI GIANNANTONIO #21
(7th in the championship standings – 91 points)
“This final part of the calendar has all the tracks I really like and both Aragon and Misano are no exception. I have always been fast at the Spanish track in all categories, and last year I even managed to get on the podium. After the fifth place at Silverstone, we need to get back into contention for the race win. Aragon is a track I especially love and I think with the base set-up found in Silverstone we can build a good weekend and put together a really good performance.”
NICOLÒ BULEGA #11
(24th in the championship standings –12 points)
“Aragon is a track I like and we need to keep improving there after the good feeling we had with the bike in England. We need to take things one step at a time: right now we’re very close to the top ten and we need to be inside there both in Spain and at Misano. We are racing twice at the latter and it will be incredible to feel the atmosphere at our own track – which I also like a lot.”
