ENCOURAGING FOURTH PLACE FOR SALAČ ON DAY 1 AT LE MANS

Free Practice – #FrenchGP It was a good start to the French Grand Prix for Filip Salač who topped the timesheets in the opening free practice session of the weekend. He had a harder time to better his afternoon lap-time, with different conditions: he managed to do so towards the end with a time of 1’36.477secs that allowed him to be fourth in the combined times – and subsequently getting a provisional direct seed to Q2.

Jeremy Alcoba had a bit more of a challenging day as he struggled with lower temperatures to get up to speed. He managed to improve in the second FP session but not enough to be in the ‘Q2 lot’. The rider #52 is still only two and a half tenths away from the top 14 and he will have another chance tomorrow to get into the final qualifying session from the main door.

4th – FILIP SALAČ #12 (1’36.477)

“It was a positive first day for us here at Le Mans; FP1 went really well, then in FP2 we struggled a bit more. We must work on the set-up and find an adjustment that can enable us to be quicker, because we were really at the limit in the second session. The team is working hard towards this, and I think we can have fun tomorrow.”

21st – JEREMY ALCOBA #52 (1’37.258)

“We knew we would have struggled today as Le Mans is not among my favorite tracks: the first session didn’t go to well, while we improved in FP2 – although not enough to get into Q2. We will work for that tomorrow, set-up and feeling wise, but also with regards to my riding style. We will try to get into Q2 from the main door tomorrow even though it won’t be easy, all riders are very close in terms of lap-times, but we’ll do our best!”
