FEDERAL OIL TARGETS BRNO

All the ingredients are there: a favourable track, a continuing improving performance and a lot of motivation. These are the key factors for Team Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 who is currently travelling to Czech Republic for the fourth even of 2020.

On one side of the garage, in his rookie year Nicolò Bulega narrowly missed on a front row start and then claimed his so-far best Moto2 result; on the other hand, Edgar Pons has already raced at Brno three times (2015-16-17).

The two standard bearers of Gresini Racing in the series are coming off two subpar performances in Spain, despite having clear ideas in order to find the few hundredths of a second missing in order to make a big step forward in such a ‘tight’ category. The on-track action will get underway at 10:55 local time (GMT +2) this Friday with the first free practice session.

NICOLÒ BULEGA #11

“Brno is a track I really like and last year as a rookie I had put together a really good weekend. This year I would like to at least to repeat the same type of results and even aim at something better. The track is very technical and surely that fits well with my riding style.”

EDGAR PONS #57

“I’ve raced there three times already and that’s a track I like, even though it’s very different to Jerez. We start with a good base, but we will need to work very well in order to find a good race set-up: I expect temperatures if not the same, still very similar to the ones we encountered in Spain, and we have struggled so far in the second half of the race. We will focus on that while trying to finally finish in the top 15.”
