FELO GRESINI MOTOE: READY FOR THE FIRST ROUND IN PORTUGAL
It’s time to begin the 2024 adventure also for the FELO GRESINI MotoE riders, who after three days of testing at Portimao a few weeks ago, are ready to get back on track on their electric Ducati. A different schedule for this first round, with a day of testing to open the dances. This will be followed on Friday by two free practices and the qualifying sessions, to then play it all out on Saturday with two races: the first one at 12:15 (GMT-1), the second one in the afternoon at 16:10 (GMT-1).
Ambitious goals for Matteo Ferrari, who has already proved to be fast in the winter test and this weekend he wants to be protagonist in every session, to do a good qualifying and bring home as many points as possible, in order to start the championship in the best way. It is time for redemption for his team-mate Alessio Finello, who has matured, grown up and he wants to finally reap the benefits of the experience of these years.

“We are ready for the first round, I am happy because we are beginning the championship earlier this year, just a few days to start! On Thursday we will have three test sessions that will be very important to get back into the swing of things and above all to finish some work left over from the last test. The conditions will definitely be different, if it’s sunny the temperatures will be higher and so we’ll have to readjust everything. The two races are going to be tough, because after three days of testing in February and another one on Thursday, we will all be very close. It will be crucial to do a good qualifying and start at the front of the grid: we will then try to score the maximum points in the two races. I am very happy, the team is super charged: step by step we will try to improve where we were lacking last year in order to get the best possible result every weekend”.

“I can’t wait to get started, the tests went well, but the race is another matter: we have another day of testing on Thursday, we will use these three sessions in the best possible way to get the best start of the season. The Algarve Circuit is beautiful and having done the test on this track is an extra opportunity to do even better. The weather will be a wild card but the aim will be to be competitive in all conditions. We start with a beautiful harmony in the team and I, as rider, will arrive in Portugal with an enlarged experience, I have grown and learned a lot. I’m pumped up, I can’t wait to put my helmet back on and start working with my team, I feel at home with them!”
