FERRARI ON ROW TWO IN THE NETHERLANDS

#DutchGP qualifying. The Dutch Grand Prix E-Pole turned out to be a positive one for Matteo Ferrari, who after a slow start to the weekend managed to find a good feeling with the bike this morning in FP3 and then capitalise in the single-lap qualifying session with an encouraging sixth place.

After a good decision made after analysing the data with the Indonesian E-Racing Gresini MotoE crew led by Giuseppe De Gruttola, the former MotoE World Cup champion managed to improve by 1.1 seconds in the morning session and now, with a good race pace on his side, the race might bring have some pleasant surprises in store.

Following a disastrous Friday – with two crashes – Andrea Mantovani also managed to do better today. The consistency shown in FP3 and a decent qualifying performance led to a 13th place on the grid for tomorrow’s race, which will get underway at 15:30 local time (GMT +2).

6th – MATTEO FERRARI #11 (1’43.876)

“Being on the second row is surely a good result. This morning we managed to be more than a second faster thanks to a set-up change and today, despite the weather conditions being very different to yesterday’s, we managed to do well. There was a lot of wind and the temperatures were high, but we have everything to do well tomorrow from sixth place on the grid.”

13th – ANDREA MANTOVANI #9 (1’45.384)

“We improved by more than two seconds compared to yesterday and we probably deserved something more in qualifying. I think we could have lapped in the 1’44secs, but unfortunately I made two/three mistakes which cost us a lot of time. We’re improving, and tomorrow we’ll make a further step forward.”
