FERRARI RUNNER UP IN MISANO E-POLE

The MotoE Friday draws to a close with a great result for Team Trentino Gresini MotoE, with Matteo Ferrari the absolute protagonist of the day first by topping the combined free practice sessions and then in the E-Pole, where only Alex De Angelis was able to edge him by a split second.

The rider number 11 claimed his first front row in the electric series and he is now ready to battle in the two races taking place tomorrow (at 16:15) and on Sunday (10:05), knowing the absolute importance of this double-header for the title race.

Lorenzo Savadori was also able to put together a good performance after a convincing showing in free practice as he finished just outside the top-ten and continued his learning curve with his Energica #32.

MATTEO FERRARI #11

“In the first free practice we started with the same base settings awe had in Austria and the feeling was good. I was losing a bit of time in T2 and in the last sector so we worked more on those in the second session as we tried to improve on the exit of “Quercia” as well as at the “Rio” and in the last two corners. We managed to do so and things went well also in the E-Pole, where we went really close to the top. It’s good as it is: it was crucial to be quick and not make mistakes.”

LORENZO SAVADORI #32

“I felt a lot better compared to previous rounds. The times are a lot closer compared to Austria although in FP1 we lost a bit of time due to some front-tyre pressure issues. In the end it turned out not to be that but I had to stop and here every lap is a lost lap. Race-pace wise we’re not too bad but we need to work on closing the corners because I got three laps cancelled already as I rode on the green area. The E-Pole went well as I was able not to make any mistake, but we still need something to challenge at the front.”
