GONZALEZ AND ARENAS ARE READY TO OPEN THE DANCE UNDER QATAR LIGHTS

It is finally time to fly off to Qatar for the first round of the 2024 Championship, which will be held in Doha, at the Circuit of Lusail. The Team QJMOTOR GRESINI Moto2 presents a solid lineup, and proved it during winter tests, where Gonzalez and Arenas stood out.

The rider #18 last year conquered his first podium at this circuit, a second place fought until the end of the race. This year he is aiming for the top step, and given the test results, it is safe to say that he has all the credentials to do so.

On the other side of the box an Arenas curious to discover his true potential, after some shoulder discomfort that did not allow him to give 100% in the Jerez test. After a few days resting, he is now ready to hit the track and play it all in the first race of the season.

The two QJMOTOR GRESINI Moto2 standard bearers will start their engines for the first free practice session on Friday, 14:50 (GMT+3).

MANUEL GONZALEZ #18

“First race of the year: I have an immense desire for the championship to begin. I have been training a lot all the winter, preparing myself in the best way, trying to improve in every aspect. Now I want to start to finally reap the benefits of all this work. We’ll start in Qatar, a circuit where I’ve always been strong, and where I got my first podium last season. This year my goal is to at least replicate that, so it will be crucial to work well right away with my team and prepare this weekend to perfection.”

ALBERT ARENAS #75

“The long-awaited time has come, the first race of the year. There are so many expectations, so much passion and desire to start. After a long winter of preparation, last week we went back on track for testing, then a few days of rest that allowed me to start at 100% for Qatar. We were pretty fast, so the expectations for this weekend are high; however, I want to stay focused and figure out what my real level will be, which is always a bit unknown in the first race. What is for sure, is that I have done a good job in preparation and that we are on the right way to be competitive. I can’t wait to start the season with my team and have an amazing weekend!”
