GRAND PRIX DE FRANCE: THE GRESINI MOTO2 TEAM PREVIEW OF ROUND 7

Le Mans – Race Preview After a one-week break, Gresini Racing Moto2 is ready for a new adventure, this time in France, at Le Mans. This 4.2km track was built in 1965 around the 24-Hour circuit and has been part of the MotoGP calendar since 2000. The two riders dressed in blue arrive from Jerez with very different feelings but the goal of this weekend is in common: to achieve a good result.

Alessandro Zaccone arrives in France motivated, thanks to the positive sensations and the excellent feeling he found with his Kalex during the Spanish weekend. The Italian rider has already raced in this circuit, but only with the MotoE, with which he had conquered the third step of the podium. It will therefore be essential for him to readjust his driving style to the intermediate class.

Instead, Filip Salač comes from a complicated weekend: this track will be important for him to find again a good feeling with his bike. The special feeling that binds rider number #12 to this circuit will help him for sure: last year in fact Filip crossed the Moto3 finish line in 2nd position. This will give him the right boost to bring home a good result.

Moto2 track action starts on Friday  at 10:55 (GMT + 2)

FILIP SALAČ # 12

“The first six races of the season didn’t go exactly as we expected, we really struggled. At Le Mans I hope to be able to make the difference: it’s my favorite track, last year I got on the podium. It’s a difficult circuit but I love the layout! With the team, this FrenchGP, it will be a new beginning: I can’t wait! “.

ALESSANDRO ZACCONE # 61

“I like Le Mans: last year I did a good job with the MotoE, but obviously it’s a very different bike and we will have a lot to work on. The weather will be a jolly this weekend, an unknown factor, but we will work to be competitive even in the wet. The goal of the weekend is to continue the work we’ve made at Jerez where we were able to find a good feeling with the bike and bring home a quite good result. We will work to find the same feeling on this track too”.
